The house is custom designed with a complete wrap around verandah so that radiative sunlight does not directly reach the many windows (over 20 large picture windows) of the house in summer. The verandah is designed that during the cooler winter months, when the sun traverses a lower trajectory in the sky, sunlight does reach some of the window to provide radiative warming for the house. The verandah is nearly 3m deep and provides an ideal space for morning coffee, afternoon drinks, and evening dinner in any direction, as can be seen by the beautiful views in all directions from the property. Each of the posts of the verandah are composed of rough-cut fir wood and treated for the environment.

Roof:

The roof of the house is composed of concrete tile for long lasting and natural coloring in the desert environment.
